Cheesman Park, one of the city's oldest neighborhoods, is often considered part of Denver’s Capitol Hill area. The neighborhood is the perfect image of an ideal community. It captures a beautiful botanical garden filled with trees and landscapes, making outdoor activities a delight. These include playing frisbee, having a picnic, walking your dog, jogging, and even simple strolling.
The neighborhood is located within the central portion of the city which makes for easy accessibility to amenities such as restaurants, fitness centers, salons, automotive shops, pet stores, schools, and grocery stores.
The area of Cheesman Park is approximately 80.7 acres which is surrounded by an alluring garden with tall trees and flowers. The neighborhood is bordered by E. Colfax Avenue, N Downing St., E 8th St., and York St. Residents enjoy the walking paths, open lawns, and clean environment within a large city park.
Most single-family homes were built in the early 20th century with Denver square (American Foursquare), Neoclassical, and Victorian as the most common architectural styles.
Prices range from $900,000 to $1.5M for a typical home with 3 to 4 bedrooms. These properties are highly sought after and are usually sold for list price in less than a month.
Newer developments around Cheesman Park are in the form of condos and townhomes. Condos range from $200,000 to $400,000 and some even have city and mountain views. Townhomes prices depend on factors such as year they were built, lot sizes and home finishes. Older townhomes range from $300,000 to $500,000 with newer properties seeing price points between $800,000 and $1.2 million.

Transportation is easy because there are bus lines that stop nearby. However, many of the amenities are reachable on foot, you can always have the option of doing errands by walking or riding a bike.
Public schools serving Cheesman Park are Dora Moore, Laredo School, Morey Middle School, and Teller Elementary School. These schools are managed and operated by the Denver Public School District
