The Denver Performing Arts Complex, Ellie Caulkins Opera House, Clyfford Still Museum, The American Museum of Western Art, The Kirkland Museum of Fine and Decorative Art, The Denver Art Museum, and the LEED-certified Museum of Contemporary Art are all paid for by a voluntary tax by the Denver community.
Denver is also the city that brews the most beer in the United States and annually hosts the Great American Beer Festival. More than 200 different beers are brewed in over 150 breweries, all in the Denver Metro area.
Denver has a very competitive housing market. The most common home type in the city is the single-family home, which accounts for over 48% of all the housing units in Denver. These homes became popular for investors after 2007 when the market declined.
