Westerly Creek Elementary School is a well ranked primary school that serves children in the Stapleton neighborhood from kindergarten through the 5th grade. There are approximately 726 students that are currently enrolled at Westerly Creek. 

The school is high achieving, ranking 6th out of all elementary schools in the district and 23rd out of 965 schools in the state. reported that Westerly Elementary ranked higher than 97.6% of schools in Colorado. 

Originally established in 2007, Westerly Elementary teachers and staff strive to provide students with a nurturing and inclusive environment that fosters a love of learning. Bromwell Elementary has a rich history that dates back to its beginnings at a one room schoolhouse in 1867. Currently, the school is located in the heart of the Cherry Creek neighborhood serving students from kindergarten through grade 5. 

The caring and inclusive school is home to approximately 325 students throughout the academic year. Relatively small classroom sizes are a bonus of a smaller school, as is the low student teacher ratio of 18:1. 

Bromwell Elementary is a well ranking school that has been the recipient of numerous awards throughout the years. Recently, the school was named a Blue Ribbon of Excellence School, received the John Irwin School of Excellence designation and was awarded for achieving the highest growth in math. 

99% of students who attend Bromwell Elementary School are reading at their grade level, this is the highest percentage in the entire Denver Public School district. It is no surprise then, that the primary school is also in the Top 5 in Denver for student achievement in literacy. 

There are many student supports and academic offerings at Bromwell Elementary. English as a Second Language and mild or moderate support for special education are both available. Polaris Elementary School

Polaris Elementary School is an arts integrated magnet school. The highest ranking school within the Denver Public School District is also the only freestanding magnet school solely dedicated to meeting the needs of their gifted and highly gifted students. 

Located in the northwest corner of Denver’s downtown district, Polaris Elementary serves roughly 330 students from kindergarten through grade 5. The small student body translates to a low teacher to student ratio of just 1:18. 

Students who attend Polaris Elementary School are fully supported in their educational journey and ensure their needs are being met. As a fully magnet school, Polaris Elementary is able to focus all its attention on their gifted students. 

Once students have completed their time at Polaris Elementary they will transition to Morey Middle school which is Denver's magnet middle school for high gifted students. After which, there are a number of high school options throughout the city to choose from. 

Though solely a magnet school, Polaris Elementary still offers its students many of the same features as other schools found within the DPS. Enrichment programs such as Girls on the Run, Beginning and Advanced Band and Real Numbers Math. Cory Elementary School

Cory Elementary School is another of the city’s highly ranked elementary schools. Coming in 2nd in the district and 8th in the state, Cory Elementary rated better than 99.2% of primary schools. 

One of the most notable features of the school is the building itself. Cory Elementary was designed by Denver native architect Victor Hornbein, who's most notable work was the Conservatory at the Denver Botanical Gardens. The school is listed as a historic landmark within the city. 

History runs deep at Cory Elementary. The school received its name from one of the area's prominent educators from the mid 20th century. John J. Cory was one of Denver’s most influential and respected teachers and later principals. 

There are some amazing programs offered at Cory Elementary which set it apart from other schools. The School Garden is one of the most loved programs offered at the school. A labor of love from both teachers and students, the garden is grown from seeding to harvesting by staff and the student body. To make full use of the garden, the fruits of the labor, which is roughly 100 pounds of lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, beans, carrots and more, are used in the cafeteria throughout the year. 

In the fall, students partner with Slow Foods Denver to run a Youth’s Farmer Market. The student run market is hosted on the school grounds every friday in the fall and is used to raise money for various programs. Other programs include the newly introduced School and Community Chicken Program.

Carson Elementary School

Officially named Mary G. Carson Elementary School is located in the Hilltop neighborhood along Denver’s southeast side. Named after an affluent teacher that served in the Denver Public School District for 45 years as first a teacher and then a principal, Mary G. Carson received her first teaching assignment in 1897. She taught in the Old Webster School which was later replaced by Bryant-Webster. 

Carson Elementary began offering education to area students when it was originally established in the fall of 1952. From that time, students from kindergarten through grade 5 have been attending the well rated school. Currently there are just over 460 students enrolled at Carson Elementary School. 

A recipient of numerous awards, Carson Elementary is the 4th highest rated school within the Denver Public School District. The school also ranked higher than 98.2% of state wide elementary schools. Most recently, November 2019, Carson Elementary was the recipient of the John Irwin Award from the Colorado Department of Education, Governor’s Distinguished Improvement Award as well as a letter of recognition from Senator Michael Bennett. 

Carson Elementary School strives to provide each student a joyful, rigorous and personalized learning experience. One of the ways the school does this is by providing a number of programs to its students. The Deaf and Hard of Hearing program serves the district's students who experience hearing related difficulties and works through a number of proven methods to provide excellent education. 

A major part of the experience students have at Carson Elementary focuses on character development. The school utilises a number of different ways to encourage and promote students personal growth. Steck Elementary School

Steck Elementary School is a highly ranked neighborhood school that serves students in the City of Denver. The school serves students from kindergarten through the fifth grade and is currently home to about 350 students. 

Proudly named after Amos Steck who was the president of Denver District 1 Board of Education from 1862 to 1866. Steck also was also the 2nd mayor of Denver from 1863 to 1864. Another one of Denver’s historic schools is the highly rated Park Hill Elementary School. Originally opened as Park School in 1893 as a one room schoolhouse, it was later replaced by a spanish colonial building. Portions of the building still used to this day were constructed in 1901, though many areas have undergone renovations and upgrades. 

Serving the Park Hill community of Denver, Park Hill Elementary is the 7th highest rated primary school in Denver Public School District. The school also ranked higher than 97.3% of statewide elementary schools. Park Hill Elementary is home to 721 students from kindergarten to grade 5. 

The school focuses heavily on academic success as well as personal growth and development. One of the ways they are able to do this is through the R.O.A.R. program. This program was designed to encourage students to demonstrate and excuse positive behaviour and attitudes.
